Hurricane Disaster Relief
UUCSJ is keeping a close eye on updates regarding the communities affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
More detailed information will be shared as it become available in the coming weeks. Sign up to join the volunteer list if you’re available to travel to Texas to support relief efforts.
Volunteer Placement Program
Want to support the communities affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but aren’t available to volunteer? Click here to donate to the UUA Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma Recovery Fund:
Hurricane Harvey: https://giving.uua.org/harvey-floods
Hurricane Irma: https://giving.uua.org/irma-aid
Half of all funds raised will go to at-risk populations served by UUSC partners and the other half of the funds will support Unitarian Universalist congregations and members of those congregations most affected by the storm. Those funds will be administered by a group of leaders in the UUA’s Southern Region, which includes the states across the southeast from Texas to South Carolina, and from most of Virginia to Florida.
Visit each program page to learn more about the current opportunities. If you have any questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The College can’t do its work without their dedicated, hard-working partner organizations!
