With Unitarian values at its heart, SimpleGifts aims to improve the lives of East London residents with programming to increase social cohesion and decrease the effects of poverty.
Internship roles would include assisting with current community programming on two streams – children/families and interfaith outreach. There would be scope for interns to plan and execute a special community event or short pilot project, depending on skills and interests.
- Specific Skills Needed: Social media skills (posting to Facebook, Twitter, etc, updating website)
Because this placement works with children, selected interns will be required to complete a CORI background check. Candidates should also be open to working and living in a center-city environment within a Muslim-majority community.
