Motivated by the growing numbers of migrants entering the United States via the Mexico border, UUCSJ has brought groups of Unitarian Universalists to the border region since our founding in 2012. In addition to this intensive journey, we have created study resources that can be used as a follow-up to the border experience, or as an introduction for those who want to understand the issues more deeply.
Our intention is to help Unitarian Universalists reflect on historic patterns of migration, the role the United States has played (and still plays) in Latin America, and how we might engage meaningfully with immigration reform from the grounding of our faith. We intend to expand these resources in the months ahead, and we appreciate any suggestions you may have about how we can improve them.
